Who: J. Scott Carr is an expert in the field of secure ID solutions. In his 11 years with Digimarc, Carr has held numerous executive management positions leading the development and successful deployment of digital watermarking applications and government-issued documents and secure ID solutions. Carr recently testified at the U.S. Senate Finance Committee Hearing on Border Security as an industry expert, where he demonstrated how proven digital watermarking-based solutions can be implemented as a cost-effective means of authenticating driver licenses presented as proof of identity at U.S. borders. Additionally, Carr has provided testimony to the National Council of State Legislatures regarding REAL ID recommendations.

Dr. Bob Jones is chief scientist at Digimarc, where he has responsibility for the design and development of highly secure, robust driver licenses and IDs. Dr. Jones has more than 30 years of materials engineering experience, including hands-on management of driver license and ID card design; materials and security feature specification, and test requirement specification for all of Digimarc’s digital ID card system projects. Additionally, he oversees the development and implementation of new high security ID products and ensures that final driver license and ID card designs meet all customer requirements.
