CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 2005--Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ:HURN - News), a leading provider of financial and operational consulting services, today announced that Michael J. Dansky has joined the Company's Disputes and Investigations practice as a managing director specializing in intellectual property (IP)-related transactions, valuation, litigation, disputes, and other IP operational services.

At Huron, Dansky will advise clients on a wide range of economic, valuation, operational, and litigation issues related to intellectual property and in complex commercial disputes. During his career, he has also provided expert testimony in Federal and State Courts on accounting, business valuation, intellectual property valuation, and economic damages issues. In addition to a career in licensing technology around the world, Dansky has negotiated and completed many transactions as both a buyer and seller of IP, businesses and other assets, assisted companies with operational difficulties, and negotiated the settlement of a number of IP-related disputes. Prior to joining Huron, Dansky was vice president of Corporate Strategy and Business Development at Polaroid Corporation. He also held senior management positions at InteCap, Inc. and Xerox Corporation, and was an executive at Amoco Corporation.
Dansky received his M.B.A. in International Business/Finance from The George Washington University and his B.A. in Economics/Political Science from Tufts University. He is a member of the Licensing Executive Society, Association for Corporate Development, and the Turnaround Management Association. Dansky is based in Huron's Boston office.
